X (Twitter) Integration Terms of Service

1. Compliance with X Rules & Developer Policies
By connecting your X account to ChatCoat and using our publishing, scheduled posting, automated reply, or Direct Message features, you agree to comply with all applicable legal agreements and policies established by X Corp.:
- The X Terms of Service
- The X Developer Agreement
- The X Developer Policy
- The The X Rules governing user safety, authentic engagement, and platform integrity.
2. Strict Adherence to X Automation & Anti-Spam Rules
X enforces strict policies regarding automated actions on its platform. You agree that your use of ChatCoat's automation features will adhere strictly to the X Automation Rules:
- No Aggressive or Duplicate Tweeting: You may not schedule or publish repetitive, substantially identical, or duplicative tweets across one or multiple accounts.
- No Hashtag or Trend Hijacking: You may not use unrelated or misleading hashtags, or automate posting to trending topics with promotional spam.
- Consensual & Contextual Replies: Automated public comment replies must be directly relevant to the user's comment and must only trigger on intentional user engagement (such as pre-defined keywords). You may not auto-reply to users who have not interacted with your account.
- Direct Message (DM) Rules: Automated Direct Messages must only be sent to users who have taken an affirmative action requesting information or initiated contact. Bulk unsolicited cold DMs are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate termination.
- Honoring Opt-Outs: If a user requests to stop receiving communications or replies, you must immediately remove or exclude them from automated triggers.
3. User Content & Account Responsibility
You maintain complete ownership of and sole legal liability for all tweets, images, videos, captions, links, and replies posted through your connected X account via ChatCoat:
- You represent and warrant that you own or hold all necessary licenses, copyrights, and intellectual property rights for all media uploaded and published via the service.
- You agree not to publish defamatory, hateful, harassing, deceptive, fraudulent, or obscene material, or content that violates applicable regional or international laws.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your ChatCoat credentials and ensuring only authorized team members have access to connected X accounts.
4. X API Rate Limits, Quotas & Service Dependencies
ChatCoat interfaces with X through the official X API v2. You acknowledge and agree that:
- X enforces strict rate limits, including limits on the number of tweets, media uploads, mentions retrieved, and DMs sent per 15-minute and 24-hour windows.
- While ChatCoat implements intelligent request queuing and exponential backoff, ChatCoat is not responsible for delayed publishing or failed automation caused by your account exceeding X API rate limits or quota tiers.
- ChatCoat relies on the operational availability and uptime of X Corp.'s servers. ChatCoat is not liable for service interruptions, API downtimes, policy adjustments, or breaking endpoint changes introduced by X Corp.
5. Post Lifecycle & Auto-Deletion Features
ChatCoat offers an optional auto-deletion feature that issues a DELETE /2/tweets/:id call to X after a designated number of hours:
- Tweet deletion on X is permanent and irreversible. Once a tweet is deleted via the API, X Corp. permanently removes it from public feeds.
- ChatCoat is not liable for loss of data, engagement metrics, or conversation threads resulting from user-configured auto-deletion rules.
6. Trademark & Non-Affiliation Disclaimer
"X", the 𝕏 logo, "Twitter", and related brand marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of X Corp.
ChatCoat is an independent third-party software application developed to manage social media automation across multiple networks. ChatCoat is not sponsored, endorsed, affiliated with, or certified by X Corp.
7. Suspension and Termination of Integration
ChatCoat reserves the right, in its sole discretion and without prior notice or liability, to suspend, throttle, or disconnect your X integration if:
- You violate any provision of these X Integration Terms or the general ChatCoat Terms of Service;
- You violate the X Automation Rules, X Developer Policy, or X Rules;
- Your X account is flagged, suspended, or restricted by X Corp. for abusive or non-compliant behavior;
- Required to protect the security, integrity, or reputation of the ChatCoat platform.
