Reddit Integration Terms of Service

1. Scope & Integration Status

These Reddit Integration Terms of Service ("Reddit Terms") govern the planned connection, management, and automation of Reddit accounts within ChatCoat ("we," "our," or "us"), operated by Sami Ullah. These Reddit Terms supplement our general Terms of Service and Reddit Privacy Policy.

Commercial API access for ChatCoat has been requested and is currently pending review by Reddit. Reddit features are not currently live, and no active Reddit connection can be established until official API approval is confirmed.

3. Explicit User Authorization & Account Access

ChatCoat only accesses Reddit accounts when you explicitly and intentionally choose to connect and authorize your own Reddit account via standard OAuth authorization:

• ChatCoat will never attempt to access, manage, or interact with any Reddit account without prior affirmative authorization by the account owner.
• You represent and warrant that you own or are an authorized administrator of the Reddit account connected to your ChatCoat workspace, with all legal rights to authorize actions on that account.
• You can disconnect your Reddit account at any time from your ChatCoat dashboard, or revoke access directly within your Reddit account settings under your authorized applications.

4. Intended Functionality & Automated Actions

When approved and made available, ChatCoat's intended Reddit functionality includes:

• User-Authorized Publishing: Composing, scheduling, and publishing posts (text, link, or supported media) to user-authorized subreddits or user profiles according to your explicit scheduling instructions.
• Content & Post Management: Managing scheduled submissions, viewing delivery status, and managing post lifecycles as permitted by Reddit's API and granted permissions.
• Comment & Engagement Workflows: Monitoring comment activity on your own published posts and executing user-configured comment replies or engagement flows.

Any automated actions configured in ChatCoat are performed strictly according to your instructions and within the permissions granted to ChatCoat. You maintain sole and full responsibility for the content, timing, frequency, and appropriateness of all automated actions executed through your account.

5. User Responsibility & Prohibited Conduct

Users are strictly responsible for ensuring that all content and actions comply with Reddit's Content Policy, Developer Terms, and individual community/subreddit rules. You agree that you will NOT use ChatCoat to:

• Spam or Bulk Posting: Schedule or distribute unsolicited promotions, repetitive submissions, low-effort spam, or commercial advertisements that violate Reddit or subreddit guidelines.
• Platform & Vote Manipulation: Engage in vote manipulation, artificial upvoting/downvoting, brigading, multi-account astroturfing, or algorithmic gaming.
• Rule & Restriction Circumvention: Evade subreddit bans, moderator removals, account restrictions, rate limits, or safety controls imposed by Reddit.
• Harassment & Abuse: Submit defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene, deceptive, or threatening content, or violate the privacy of any individual.
• Intellectual Property Infringement: Publish content, images, or media that infringe upon third-party copyrights, trademarks, or proprietary rights.

6. Third-Party Dependency & API Availability

ChatCoat relies on the operational availability and policies of Reddit's API. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Reddit may change, restrict, rate limit, suspend, or discontinue API access or particular API endpoints and capabilities at any time.
• ChatCoat cannot guarantee permanent or uninterrupted availability of Reddit functionality. Service interruptions resulting from Reddit API updates, downtime, quota limits, or policy changes are beyond ChatCoat's direct control.
• ChatCoat does not make promises or claims regarding features that Reddit has not approved or that ChatCoat has not implemented.

8. Suspension & Disabling of Reddit Functionality

ChatCoat reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disable, restrict, or disconnect Reddit functionality for any account:

• To comply with Reddit API terms, policies, or requests from Reddit, Inc.;
• If the user violates these Reddit Terms, our general Terms of Service, or Reddit's Content Policy;
• If abusive, high-risk, or non-compliant automated activity is detected; or
• To safeguard the security, integrity, and operational health of the ChatCoat platform.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

ChatCoat and its planned Reddit integration are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ChatCoat and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, goodwill, or account standing arising out of your use or inability to use Reddit integration features.
